Darrell Wayne Gwinn, age 54, of Beckley, WV, passed away at the Charleston Area Medical Center General Division on Thursday, December 20, 2012, following a work-related accident. Darrell was born on June 8, 1958, in Beckley, and was the son of the late Howard Gwinn and Mildred Phillips Gwinn. Darrell was a graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School in 1976, and was employed by Mountain Vending Inc. of Oak Hill as a warehouse manager. He was of the Methodist faith, and enjoyed music, the outdoors, and spending time with his family. Darrell was a kind and tender-hearted person, who loved his family dearly, and would freely give to anyone in need. He was always loyal to his job of 25 years. Those survivors left to cherish his memory include his siblings, Gary Gwinn and his wife Melissa of Fairfax, Virginia; Danny G. Gwinn and his wife Brenda of Beckley; Randy Gwinn and his wife Joyce of Beckley; and his twin sister Darlene Blake and her husband Ira of Oak Hill, WV. 5 nieces, Kelli Watson and her husband Michael of Rock Creek, Amber Mann and her husband Jason of Stanaford Road, Beckley, Meryl Gwinn of Fairfax, Virginia, Erin Gwinn of Fairfax, Virginia, Syndi Poland of Washington, DC. Two nephews, Chad Gwinn of Springfield, Virginia, and Nick Gwinn, of Beckley, who often made his home with Darrell. He also was loved by his three great-nieces, Madison, and Baylee Mann, and Kendall Watson. Several aunts and uncles are also among his survivors. Funeral services will be conducted to Celebrate The Life Of Darrell Gwinn on Sunday, December 23, 2012, at 2 p.m. at the Rose and Quesenberry Peace Chapel in Beckley with Pastor Rudell Bloomfield and Minister Jarrod Martin officiating.
