Robert Dow Robinson Jr., 46, of Beckley, died Saturday, Oct. 21, 2000, in Morgantown University Hospital following a short illness. Born Aug. 24, 1954, at Beckley, he was the son of Robert and Zelda Robinson of West Wickham. Mr. Robinson attended public schools in Raleigh County and graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School in 1973. He was a former employee of Appalachian Regional Hospital and Pack's Supermarket. Mr. Robinson founded Dow's Packette in 1984 and he opened Mountaineer Locksmith in 1997. He was united in Holy Matrimony to Emanuela Jones in 1995. He was a member of the New Bethel Temple United Holy Church, where he was baptized April 21, 2000 and received the gift of the Holy Spirit in June of 2000. He served on the trustee board for two years, Chairman of the Building Fund Committee and Secretary of the Deacon Board. Bobby leaves to cherish his loving wife, Emanuela Robinson; two daughters, Charmaine Smith, and Telisa Creasey and a son-in-law, Tim Creasey, all of Beckley; two grandchildren, DeConte Smith and Kaliyah Creasey; three Goddaughters, Takida K'zhana Wiggins of Hempstead, N.Y., Toni Jones of Beckley, and Bre'ana Staunton of Mabscott and Godson, Vincent Avery of Beckley; three brothers, Marvin and Roger Robinson of Beckley and Pete Davis and wife, Vickie, of Charlotte, N.C., Belva Jones and husband, Thomas, Charmaine Hall and husband, Jon, and Marie Moten and husband, James, of Beckley; nine brothers-in-law of Beckley, and one of White Plains, N.Y.; four sisters-in-law of Beckley, and one of Brooklyn, N.Y.; four aunts, Katherine Robinson of Ohio, Antha Jones, Coyette Ruleley; two uncles, Beauford Clemons and wife, Irene, of Delaware and Clyde Colman and wife, Marion of New Jersey; and a host of other relatives and friends. Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at New Bethel Temple United Holy Church, Mool Ave., Beckley, with Bishop Alvester McConnell, Elder Virgillious Glenn, Evangelist Bernice Wilson, Elder Herman Bryant, Elder Rosetta Keith and Evangelist Mark Walker officiating. Burial will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Beckley. Friends may call one hour before the services at the church. Arrangements by McConnell Funeral Home, Bluefield.
