Sheryl Emerson, 63, of Vine Grove, KY passed away Saturday, October 15, 2016 at Hardin Memorial Hospital, Elizabethtown, KY.

Mrs. Emerson was a member of the Faith Lutheran Church, Radcliff, KY. She was a veteran of the United States Army, and volunteered many hours to the Animal Refuge Center, Vine Grove, KY.

She was preceded in death by her father, Paul Bender; and a brother, Rick Bender.

Survivors include:
Her husband of thirty four years, Ben Emerson of Vine Grove, KY; one son, Drew Emerson of Vine Grove, KY; three step sons, Shayne Emerson of Richmond, KY, Cory Emerson of California, Josh Emerson of California; her mother, Sara Bender of West Virginia; one brother, Bruce Bender of West Virginia; nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM Monday and after 9:00 AM Tuesday at the Coffey & Chism Funeral Home, Vine Grove, KY.

Funeral services for Mrs. Emerson will be held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, October 18, 2016 at the chapel of Coffey & Chism Funeral Home, Vine Grove, KY with Pastor Peter Martin officiating. Burial will follow in the North Hardin Memorial Gardens, Radcliff, KY.
