Robert Ivan Estep Jr., 55, of Beckley, passed away Friday, January 9, 2009. Born March 4, 1953, he was the son of the late Robert Ivan Estep Sr. and Reba Joyce Estep. Ivan enjoyed hunting, fishing, target shooting, Great Dane dogs and animals in general. He was employed as a welder and pipefitter. Ivan was a member of the Beckley Hunting Club. Those left to cherish his memory include his wife Yolanda Estep of Beckley; daughters Jessica Carruthers and husband Michael of Brown Summit, N.C., Penny Beckett and husband Mark of Daniels, W.Va.; son Craig Estep of Texas; grandchildren Justin Beckett, Justin Carruthers, Mychal Carruthers, Krista Carruthers; sisters Marsha Gillespie of Shady Spring and Lisa Cunningham and husband Scott Calabash, N.C. Memorial services will be held at 8 p.m. Wednesday, January 14, 2009, at Blue Ridge Funeral Home, Beckley. Friends may gather with the family from 6 p.m. until the time of the service.
