Barbara Ann Quesenberry* - Class Of 1970

Barbara Ann Quesenberry, 48, of Beckley, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, Aug. 28, 2002. She was born Nov. 2, 1953, the daughter of Ernest "Jack" Quesenberry of Lanark and Dorothy Webb Quesenberry of Lanark. Barbara was a student of Woodrow Wilson High School through 1970, when she moved to Newport News, Va., after her first marriage to Robert L. Bednarski, presently of Ohio. She enjoyed the guitar, music and fishing earlier in her life and had traveled all across the United States and Mexico for the majority of her adult life. She is now safe with the Lord among the angels where she has an eternal home of peace and is no longer a lost soul of this life. She was preceded in death by an aunt, Pauline Webb; and a brother, Douglas Quesenberry. Survivors include a daughter, Chastity Ann Quesenberry Boyd and her husband, Gregory, of Prosperity; a brother, Opie Dean Quesenberry of Newport News; and two grandchildren, Tyler and Lauren Boyd of Prosperity. Graveside service will be 1 p.m. Sunday at Stanaford Cemetery with the Rev. Gene Hall officiating. There will be no visitation. In lieu of flowers, donations would be thoughtful at your local women's resource center or Oprah Winfrey's Angel Network for the homeless. The mentally ill and the abused are people, too, and we can all make a difference if we try. Arrangements by Rose and Quesenberry Funeral Home, Beckley.
