Jeffrey Sleboda* - Class Of 1975

RIPLEY - Jeffrey Sleboda, 45, of Skyline View Drive, formerly of Beckley, died Tuesday, March 18, 2003, at his home. Born July 26, 1957, in Winter Haven, Fla., he was the son of Jenell Ruth Phillips Sleboda of Troutville, Va., and the late Gaze Michael Sleboda. Jeff spent his childhood in Beckley on West Locust Drive. He was a 1975 graduate of WWHS. He was of the Christian faith. He had been a resident of Ripley the past six years. He enjoyed fishing and being with his children. He was a loving husband and father and a dear son and brother. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Andrew and Helen Sleboda; and his maternal grandparents, Alton and Bette Phillips. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Dinah; two sons, Charles Jeffrey Sleboda and Michael Wayne Sleboda, both at home; three daughters, Katelyn Grace Sleboda at home, Lori Beth Sleboda of New Libson, Wis., and Julie Ann Sleboda of Mauston, Wis.; a granddaughter, Skye Karalyn Jakel; two brothers, Gregory Wayne Sleboda and his wife, Ann, and Michael James Sleboda, all of Troutville; and a large extended family. Service will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Melton Mortuary Chapel, Beckley, with the Rev. Homer Stewart officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park, Beckley. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the mortuary. Pallbearers will be family members and friends. In lieu of flowers, gifts to the family would be appreciated.
