Thomas Arthur "Artie" Hartley, 45, of 213 Parkwood Drive, Beckley, died Monday, March 10, 2003, at Raleigh General Hospital following a short illness. Born Sept. 9, 1957, in Beckley, he was the son of Thomas G. Hartley of Beckley and Barbara Hilbert Hartley of Beckley. Artie was the owner and operator of Art's Mobile Detailing. Besides his parents, he is also survived by a sister, Kathy Miller and husband, Ronald, of Fenton, Mich.; and a nephew and niece, Matthew and Kelly Miller. Service will be 1 p.m. Friday at Rose and Quesenberry Peace Chapel, Beckley, with Evangelist Jeff Belknap officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park, Beckley. Friends may call 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Men of the congregation of the Carriage Drive Church of Christ will serve as pallbearers.
