Teresa Yvonne Helmbright, 46, of East Bank passed away March 12, 2004. Born on Aug. 9, 1957, in Charleston, she was the daughter of Jewel "Sally" Yvonne Stover Scarbro of White Oak and Billy Jack Lawrence and wife, Leslie, of Athens, Ohio. Mrs. Helmbright was a homemaker. She loved gardening and flowers. She devoted her life to being a dedicated wife, mother, sister, daughter, nana and friend. She was preceded in death by her stepfather, Don Scarbro. She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her husband, Kenneth Helmbright; a daughter, Heather Diegert and husband, Raymond, East Bank; two sons, B.J. Helmbright and friend, Jessie of East Bank and Austin Helmbright at home; siblings, Dwayne Lawrence and wife, Pam of Beckley, W.Va., Donna Walker and husband, Jessie, of Shady Spring, W.Va., Terri Gunter and husband, Donnie of White Oak, W.Va., and Ryan Lawrence of Athens, Ohio; sister-in-law, Sallie Helmbright of East Bank; brother-in-law, Robbie Helmbright of Nemocolay, Pa.; grandchildren, Destini and Chelsea Diegert of East Bank; and numerous aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces and friends. Service will be 1 p.m. Monday, March 15, 2004, at Blue Ridge Funeral Home, Beckley with the Rev. Jerry Lawrence and the Rev. Loretta Taylor officiating. Burial will follow in Burrels Branch Cemetery, Clear Creek. Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Donnie Gunter, Jessie Walker, Robbie Helmbright, Doff Kincaid, Elbert Stover, Ryan Lawrence, Charlie Golch, Will Lawrence and B.J. Helmbright. Arrangements are by Blue Ridge.
