David Frederick Meadows, 46, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, March 7, 2009, as a result of complications following surgery. David has been a resident of Greenville for the last 22 years, where he and his wife, Denise, were engaged in property real estate management operating DM properties. In addition they previously owned and operated Express Food Mart in Grimesland, Chicod Citgo and Express Café. David was still a member of his home church, Memorial Baptist Church in Beckley. A generous person by nature David was compassionate to those in need and enjoyed making provisions for others when he could. He enjoyed working with Denise and their partnership was very strong. They had a gift for real estate renovation and he enjoyed their many projects. Interacting with his customers and tenants was a favorite pastime as well as his involvement in the restoration of antique cars. He is survived by his wife of 21 years, Denise Dixon Meadows; son, Bryan David, and daughter, Kristin Leigh, of Winterville; parents, Fred and Theresa Meadows of Columbia, S.C.; twin brother, Donald C. Meadows and wife, Vicki, of Columbia, S.C.; a sister, Marcia Elaine Smith and husband, Charles, of Atlanta; and a special pet “Sissie.” Service was conducted at 2 p.m. on Thursday at the Wilkerson Funeral Chapel by the Rev.
