Elizabeth Elaine Jones Burk, 85, of Olympia, formerly of Lewisburg, W.Va., died Dec. 7, 1999, in St. Peter Hospital after a short illness. She was a former teacher at Beckley and Hinton high schools in West Virginia and retired from Alta Vista School, Bethesda, Md., with 25 years' service. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Fairlea, W.Va., Daughters of the American Revolution, Daughters of the Confederacy and Alpha Sigma Tau sorority. Surviving: daughter, Elaine Burk of Olympia; brother, Carl M. Jones of Seminole, Fla.; sisters, Lorene Houchins and Opal M. Jones, both of Hinton, Helen Costa of Newport News, Va.; several nieces and nephews. Service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at McCraw Funeral Home, Lewisburg, with the Rev. Mark Billington officiating. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Covington, Va. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
