Mary Lois Edmundson, 93, of Beckley died June 9, 1997, in Plateau Medical Center, Oak Hill, after a long illness. She was a retired Raleigh County music teacher from Beckley Junior High School with 45 years' service, and a member of Beckley Presbyterian Church. She received a bachelor's degree from Marshall University, a master's from Duke University, and studied at the Cincinnati Conservatory of Music and at Columbia University. Surviving: niece, Carolyn Edmundson of Beckley; nephew, James K. Edmundson Jr. of Alexandria, Va. Service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Rose & Quesenberry Funeral Home, Beckley, with the Rev. Robin Debnam officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park, Beckley. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
