On December 1, 2011 Margaret Rose Gunnoe (nee Willfong), 100, passed away. She was the beloved wife of the late Sola Willis Gunnoe; devoted mother of the late Charles E. Gunnoe; dear sister of the late Ann Wilfong Carter. She was the daughter of the late Fred and Daisy Rose Willfong. Survivors include Mary Gaziano of Annandale, Va., Barbara Sullivan of Whispering Pines, N.C., and Rachael Taylor of Arlington, Va. Margaret "Mickey" was born in Beckley, a longtime educator in the Raleigh County, and Baltimore County school systems. She was a member of Towson Presbyterian Church, and attended Agnes Scott College and West Virginia University. Mrs. Gunnoe was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority. A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. at the Towson Presbyterian Church on Saturday, December 17. Interment will be private.
