Gladys Mary Milam, 82, of Beckley died May 9, 2000, at home. She was a retired Raleigh County schoolteacher with 42 1/2 years' service. [She was a business teacher at WWHS.] She also taught at the Pentagon and served in the Civil Air Patrol. She was a member of Laurel Business and Professional Women's Club, Beckley, Delta Kappa Gamma sorority, the National Education Association, the West Virginia Education Association, and the American Association of University Women. She attended First Church of God, Beckley. Surviving: several nieces and nephews. Service will be 3 p.m. Saturday at Melton Mortuary, Beckley, with the Rev. Vondie Cook officiating. Entombment will be in Sunset Memorial Park, Beckley. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the mortuary.
