Beatrice Graham* (Munson)

Mrs. Beatrice Graham Munson, 79, of 102 Bluestone Road, Beckley, died of natural causes Friday, July 29, 1988, in a Beckley hospital. Born April 11, 1909, at Huntington, she was the daughter of the late James Hylton and Lelia Midkiff Graham. Mrs. Munson taught in the Raleigh County School System for 35 years at Marsh Fork, Stoco and Beckley Junior High Schools. She was a member of the United Methodist Temple at Beckley, the Daughters of the American Revolution, the Beckley Womens Club and the Raleigh County Retired Teachers Association. She was a graduate of Marshall University and received two Masters Degrees from West Virginia University. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Dennis (CD) Munson Jr., on April 20, 1972, and three brothers, Jack, Harley and James Graham. Survivors include a son, Charles D. (Chick) Munson III of Beckley, and three granddaughters. Services will be today at 1 p.m. in the Melton Mortuary chapel at Beckley with the Rev. Tim Holloran officiating. Burial will be in the Heaver Cemetery at Buckhannon. Friends may call today from 11 a.m. until the service hour. Pallbearers will be Hutter, Charles and Ned H. Ragland Jr., Eddie Graham, Louie Gall and Dennis Lilly. Any donations of sympathy may be made to the United Methodist Temple Building Fund.
