Elaine Gail Stover*

Elaine Gail Stover, age 60, of Shady Spring, finished her earthly journey on Tuesday, July 10, 2012, at the Bowers Hospice House, after a short illness surrounded by her family. Elaine was born on her father's birthday, November 13, 1951, to John Paul Stover and Beulah Maynor Stover of Clear Creek, who preceded her in death. Elaine was a teacher for the Raleigh County Board of Education having taught at Park Jr. High School, and presently at Woodrow Wilson High School. Elaine loved being a teacher, and she enjoyed her students. Elaine also was an Avon Representative for several years. Elaine will be sadly missed by her brother, Danny Stover and his wife Farris of Cool Ridge; her sister Sue Thompson and husband Kenneth of Soddy Daisy, Tennessee. Three nieces, Sheryl Thompson of Tennessee, Hayley Stover and Bethany Turner of Cool Ridge, one nephew, Rodney Thompson of Tennessee. Two Cousins, Linda Mills of Beckley, and Sharon Taylor of Peterstown, WV. Special friends, Caroline Gainer, Karen Hern, Bonita Williams, Linda Hall, Lorraine Haynes, and Edna Griffith. She also will be sadly missed by her "babies," Lance and Gizmo her cats, and every stray on Almay Street. Funeral services will be held to Celebrate The Life Of Elaine Gail Stover on Friday, July 13, 2012, at 3:30 p.m. at the Rose and Quesenberry Funeral Home Shady Spring Chapel with Pastor Ron Browning officiating. Elaine will be laid to rest at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens at Prosperity. Friends may call at the funeral home two hours prior to the services. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. The family would like to thank everyone who had helped in any way; through prayers, telephone calls, cards, and kind words during Elaine's illness. May God bless you all.
