I was glad to be contacted about the reunion plans despite actually moving at the end of our Junior year. In July of '87 my family moved to Kalamazoo and I graduated from Loy Norrix.I went to Western Michigan in the drama dept.(for costuming), but for various reasons only attended one year.
May of '89 I married Dan and moved to his home town. He has had his own residential contracting buisiness here since '87. I have helped with the books since we married, worked at a local grocery store for eight years and then babysat two of our neices for a while.
Rebeca is a sophomore. She is a cheerleader for both football and compeitive seasons. She is a senior level girl scout.This year she took on the challenge of being a Daisy scout leader for 12 K-1st graders as well as continuing with her own troop and working on her Gold Award. Other recent news for her has been acceptance into national honor society and getting in those driving hours for her full license.
Amelia is a freshman. She is also a scout and finished her Silver Award in Sept., but she has to wait until this summer to start on her Gold because of her birthday. She is in the treble choir at school and her sport is softball. She is also looking forward to drivers training this summer.
John is in 5th grade and this year's student council president. He followed the girls into scouting. He just recieved his Arrow of Light and crossed from Cub Scouts to a very active Boy Scout troop. He has played baseball since he started school, but decided not to this season. His entire focus is school and earning the ranks toward his Eagle.
Dan's interests outside of work are all about tractors and farm equipment, NASCAR racing and family. He built our house on the property where he grew up eight years ago.
Beside the family I am active in my church women's group, read and do little bits of all kinds of crafts.Mostly photography and different needle work like sewing,knitting and crochet. I joined a quilting club about a year ago. I also help with Rebeca's Daisy scouts.
The whole family has always loved spending vacation time near Ludington. Three years ago we bought and remodled our own place in the same neighborhood where Dan's parents now live. We are there any weekends or school breaks we get the chance.
I have been enjoying the chance to catch up with the class. I will answer anyone who wants to email and I am looking forward to seeing everyone who goes to the reunion.
