Bruce Miller ('68)

BRUCE E. MILLER Bruce E. Miller, 60, of Jupiter, FL, completed his life's journey on June 25, 2009. Born in New Orleans, LA, Bruce spent his childhood in Cuba, moving to Florida with his family when he was 12. He graduated from LSU and returned home to continue his family's tradition in the Sugar Industry. His passions included fishing, photography, the LSU Tigers, riding his Harley, and long walks with his faithful companion, Sugar Pie. His loves in life were his wife of 33 years, Vickie; his son, Derek; his daughter, Kara Hebert and her husband, George, and his precious grandchildren; Trip and Mary Scott. Above all he cherished and held sacred his faith in Christ, Who for reasons we don't understand chose now to call him home. Survivors also include his brothers, Bill and Rick; sister, Patricia Rogers and her husband, Sammy; sisters-in-law, Debbie Ferretti and Donna Andrews and her husband, Tim, and many wonderful nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and friends -- Pat, Jason, Pete, Deane, Ed, Mike and Carl, to name only a few. Bruce was predeceased by his mother, Dorothy Jensen Miller and his father, William John Miller, Jr. A Memorial Mass will be held on Thursday, July 2, 2009 at 10:00 AM at St. Peter Catholic Church, 1701 Indian Creek Pkwy, Jupiter, FL. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to St. Peter Catholic Church. The world has lost a true Southern Gentleman. To express condolences and/or make donations
