MEDICAL HX: One month premature and legally blind due to too much oxygen in incubator; Contracted polio approx 1954; bicycle wreck caused multiple fractures in Left leg resulting in L leg shorter; malignant melanoma on back diagnosed at LSU in 1972 with major surgery/chemo/trial immunotherapy. Recurrence in spine diagnosed July 1976.
GREAT NEWS! Bert's daughter who was adopted at birth found Doug thru the BGHSreunion website and Brenda's help! So we are proud to announce we have located his daughter, Jen. We are so pleased, especially since he and both of Doug's parents passed away within 5 years. Their dad died exactly one year to the day after Bert and their mom followed in 1981, 3 days before our 2nd daughter was born (yes, we had our daughter and then Doug went on to bury his mom). We rejoice at this chance to get to know her. She is a teacher - shades of Doug's grandmother! We just wanted to share some good news!!!
