Jim Harp

I spent a few years in the navy. Moved to Australia for awhile where I worked as a printer and met my wife Joan. We have lived in the Puget Sound area of Washington since our marriage in 1968. I am retired from the Snohomish County Assessor's Office and my wife is a retired math teacher.

Currently we are snow-birds living in Lake Stevens Washington in the summer and Desert Hot Springs California in the winter.

God has been good to us.

To gain access to the school library you needed a pass issued by a teacher. I presume this was to keep kids from using it as a general hang out. My love of reading demanded that I have free use therefore I forged my own passes complete with the signature of head librarian Mrs. Firth.

Needless to say I was eventually found out and called into Mr. Griffen's office who had one of my forgeries sitting between us on his desk. His reprimand included the forecast that because of this I would someday end up spending my life in prison, a prediction that still hasn't come to be.

I have been all over the world - too many places to list.

I lead a very active lifestyle, hiking, caving whitewater and traveling abroad with my wife.
