We were best friends in our childhood. We both went to church at Chapel in th Pines on highway 2. She attended school at Borrows, District 29 and I was at Ergen, District 29 in Eckles Township. The schools combined when we were in the grade 6 so we finshed the 8th grade together at Ergen.

She sang at church with her two sisters and her cousins. She sang in choir in highschool. She lived across from the drive-in on Highway 2.  There is a KOA Kampfround there now.

I spent many overnights at her house. Her Mother played piano, and there were sing-a-longs.  She had a loving, close family.

In the summer, we would take blankets and go to the drive-in and watch the movies. She had a pj party when we first heard "The Purple People Eater" on the radio.

We drifted apart, going our separate ways. we met sometimes when we were back visting our parents and siblings, but we drifted apart more. We kept in contact with Christmas cards until her death.
