Delisa Ann Harris was born on January 28, 1956 in Jenkintown, Pa. She departed this life on August 5, 1999.

She was educated in the Bensalem School system. Delisa spent her entire life caring for others without regard to her own wants or needs. She was an avid gardener and could often be found tinkering in front of her house with a freshly planted shrub or bush. As much pleasure as she derived from this past-time she received joy from helping others.

Delisa was a devout mother who shouldered the awesome burdens of raising four daughters on her own. But no burden-no obstacle-could dampen her spirit or prevent her from providing everything her family needed to survive.

She had a varied career that spanned numerous fields. Her employment history took her from the Pennswood Manor, where she worked as a Home Health Care Aid to the United States Postal Service, where she worked as a letter carrier in Trenton, NJ.

Delisa had a voracious appetite for knowledge and new experiences and always desired to continue her education. In recent years she took courses in cosmetology and she received her certification as a nursing assistant. She had an innate talent for interior design & decorating and she even dabbled in gift basket design.

Sadly, at the age of 28 Delisa developed breast cancer. This would prove to be a long and arduous battle that would eventually take her life. She passed away at St. Mary's Hospital.

Delisa accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as her personal savior and was a member of Linconia Pentecostal Church, under the late Reverend Bessie S. Wheeler. She continued to serve the Lord through the years in the church which is now Linconia Tabernacle Christian Center under the leadership of Elder Kenneth White. Delisa was a member of the Missionary Ministry.

Preceding her death was her grandson, Khalil Spence. Delisa leaves a legacy of love and devotion to her daughters Shelena, Tanelle, Nosha and Sheronda; her father Mr. Eddie Harris, her mother, Reverend Marie Harris, four brothers, Dave, Eddie Jr., Theodore and Jeffrey Mark; two sisters, Sandra and Ruthie Mae; two granddaughters, Khaleya and Tenajah; a special and devoted friend, Bryan Watkins; two sister-in-laws; a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and her church family.
