Robert J. Ballisty

Robert J. Ballisty, 83, of Galloway Twp., NJ, passed away at home surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday, November 23, 2016. Born in Philadelphia, PA, Bob was a manager for the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board before retiring in 1989. He later worked for the law office of Fox Rothschild as an office assistant for ten years. Bob honorably served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict and completed a World Tour in his time of service. Bob was a Philadelphia sports fan, enjoyed trips to Atlantic City, but most of all loved spending time with his family. Predeceased by his parents, Francis Ballisty and Ethel (Loftus) Riley, his brothers, Francis Ballisty and Thomas Riley. He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Lucy M. (Sabato) Ballisty; his three children and their spouses, Chris and Michelle Ballisty, Cathy and Anthony DiPastina and Carmella and Todd Kokotajlo; his siblings, John and Judith Riley, Judith and Fran Robinson; sisters-in-law, Annamarie Riley and Carmella and Richard Beato; brothers-in-law, Joseph and Joan Sabato and John and Cathy Sabato; six grandchildren, Christina, Angela and her husband Stephen, Lucy, Mary, Robert and T.J.; many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will begin on Monday, November 28, 2016, at 10:00 a.m. at the Saul Colonial Home, 3795 Nottingham Way, Hamilton Square, NJ. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Sorrows-St. Anthony Parish, Our Lady of Sorrows R.C. Church, 3816 East State Street Extension, Hamilton, NJ. Interment will follow at Princeton Memorial Park in Robbinsville, NJ. Visitation for friends and family will be held on Sunday, November 27, 2016, from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Monday, November 28, 2016, from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. at the Saul Colonial Home.
