SZAREK, JOHN P., 75, of Brant Beach, and Lake Ariel, PA., passed away Sunday, February 12, 2017. He was born in Philadelphia, PA., residing there prior to moving to Brant Beach. John was the owner of Brant Beach General Store, L.B.I., for 35 years, was a welder for Fantasy Island Amusement Park, L.B.I., and worked as an operating Engineer, for Local #542. He was a member of V.F.W. Post 3729, Beach Haven. 

John is survived by his wife Marie, of 52 years, daughters Dawn Vurlicer (Bruce), of Little Egg Harbor, N.J., Robin Schiller (Adam), of Little Egg Harbor, N.J., and Kelli Deckman (Mike), of Tuckerton, N.J., brother Daniel Szarek, of Avalon, N.J., sisters Antoinette Szarek, of Philadelphia, PA., and Amelia Szarek, of Collingswood, N.J., grandchildren Melissa, Amber, Bruce, Kelsey, Addison, and Madison, and great-grandson Dominick. Memorial Services will be announced at a later date.
