Arthur W. Art Block - Class Of 1966

Arthur W. Art Block

Ret. Lt. Commander Arthur Wayne Block

York County – With great sadness but deep peace, the family announces the passing of Arthur Wayne Block, 72. Gentle, faithful husband. Kind and joyful father. Fun and beloved grandfather. Gifted, warm teacher. Above all, lover of his Savior Jesus. The love of Jesus so filled "Art" that anyone who met him loved him.

While there are so many accomplishments that could be mentioned, it is his loving spirit and unwavering faith in God's Word that he so generously bestowed on his wife, sons, precious daughter, daughters-in-love, grandchildren, extended family, many friends and anyone he met, that was his greatest work here on Earth.

He leaves behind his beloved wife, Pat; sons, Daniel and wife Katie, Austin and wife Leah, Aaron and wife Emily; daughter, Monica; nine grandchildren: Anna, Dietrich, Belle, Genevieve, Joel, Isaac, Olivia, Henry and Julia; his brother, Ed; sister, Maureen; and many dear friends. There will be a Celebration of Life Service at New Covenant Church (1079 Big Bethel Road, Hampton, VA) on Saturday, January 30 at 2:00 p.m. In light of safety guidelines, please RSVP to attend in person or to receive livestream information at: https://ncchampton.ccbchurch.com/goto/forms/158/responses/new.
