Alan Vog Vogelei - Class Of 1966

Alan Vog Vogelei

Alan R. Vogelei passed away quietly Tuesday, March 13, 2018, at home. He was 70. Alan formerly of Bensalem, was a longtime resident of Levittown. As a young adult, Alan selflessly enlisted as an active member of the U.S. Marine Corps where he proudly served his country and also served in the Vietnam war earning the Navy Achievement Medal with “V” and several other honorable medals and badges. After his discharge from the military, Alan made a career at General Motors where he retired from more than 30 years of work. Alan will be most remembered for his love of Penn State football and for being an all-around avid football fan. He also adored his two African Grey’s, affectionately known as Pudge and Doc. Alan is survived by his beloved children, Alan J. “A.J.” (Sheri) and Denise Vogelei; his stepdaughter, Erica Hackett; and his brother, James Vogelei. Alan is also survived by his grandchildren, Andrew, Eric, Corey, Chelsea, Aaron, Nicholas, and Ereaunna; his great granddaughter, Emily, and many nieces and nephews. Alan was preceded in death by his beloved his parents, James P. and Dolores Vogelei; his beloved wife, Julia R. Vogelei; his step-son, Louis Sheppard; and his brothers, Ronald and Bruce Vogelei. To celebrate in his life, relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Thursday, March 22, at the Tomlinson Funeral Home 2207 Bristol Pike Bensalem, PA 19020. Edward MacAdams (1966)

Just saw that Alan had passed. The last time I saw him was about 25 years ago. Knew him for all our years in high school. Thank you for your service & RIP.
