Karen Milhorn, 73, died quietly in her sleep November 4, 2015. She is survived by her husband, Ron, her son, Brad and her granddaughter, Jessica. Born in Ohio, she lived there until graduating from Baldwin-Wallace College in 1963. She and her husband met there and were married in the B-W chapel. Following her husband, she worked in Missouri and Arkansas at several jobs. Moving the the Baltimore area in 1963, she worked at the Enoch Pratt Library as children's and reference librarian. She later taught at Montrose School, the Woodstock Jobs Corps Center, the Baltimore City Jail School and Catonsville Community College. She was active in community affairs, a member of the League of Women Voters and a founder of the Sandymount Recreation Council. A memorial service is scheduled for Thursday, November 12 at 7:00 PM at the Upper Room Ministries, 27 East Main Street, Westminster, Maryland. The family requests that any contributions made in her name by made to a local animal shelter.
