After living in Berea and Lakewood we moved to Bowling Green in 2004. It's much more enjoyable living in the smaller community. Katie is married, teaching and expecting our first grandchild in May '09. Andy is making a career in the U. S. Coast Guard. Currently serving in the Persian Gulf, he will return in May '09.

*** UPDATE ***
Our first grandchild was born today May 09, 09 Mother and daughter are both doing fine. Abigail Rose arrived at 2:46 pm, 8 lbs 0 ozs, 20.5" Dad is doing fine too. Grandma and grandpa are just too happy and proud for words.
Uncle Andy will be home from the Persian Gulf in just 3 weeks. He's excited too. May has and will be a busy month for us. Life is good.
Andy arrived home safe and sound on Friday May 29. He's going to relax, visit friends in Lakewood, and enjoy his pride and joy - a 2003 Silver Dodge 1500 pick up truck - he calls it the 'Silver Bullet'. While he was overseas I had the 'duty' of babysitting his truck. I'm going to miss it now. Maybe I'll have to get one of my own. Anyway he's home safe. Thanks for all the prayers and thoughts for him and all our military men and women serving our country.
UPDATE -- Andy is settled in NC his new duty station for the Coast Guard and will be leaving for a 6 week "cruise" to Mexico. He said we'll leave Wilmington head south then turn right at Florida.
Katie and husband Drew and "Abby Rose" are doing fine.
Becky and I are enjoying our granddaughter and are 'recovering' from a very hectic May and June. |
