Comments:

I graduated from Meyers College (business school). I got a job with Diamond Shamrock in the legal department. I married in 1970 and moved to Columbus. I got a job as a legal secretary with a local real estate company. I started Ohio State but realized I needed 4 years and at night that was going to be long. So I went to Capital University for paralegal training for two years. Paul was self employed as an electrical engineer. We started family when we thought he could actually support both of us. I then started working with him to build the business. We have an electronics assembly business now with 15 people. I learned tennis from my husband who played in college. We played ever since and both belong to teams thru USTA and travel some. Of course, I'm on the senior division now. But hey that's not too bad.
updated: 6/23/14 Okay I'm a grandma now. One son is in Lyndhurst and works as an engineer at Rockwell Automation. He has a daughter who is 3 now. She is beautiful. They are looking for a house in Chagrin Falls or surrounding area. My other son is working at Avcom and going back to school at Franklin University. He has a son who is 1-1/2. I love grandchildren. They are best kids ever.
I am still working. Paula and I are trying to figure out how to get out of the business but keep it going. We'll see.
I am actually still playing competitive tennis. I am the oldest on the team but hey I'm still out there. We let the 20 somethings play singles. I play doubles only.
We have a Wednesday night date night at a dance club so we are trying to get better at the east coast swing. It's fun.
We are now fixing up the 30 year old house. Everything needs replacing.
5/5/19 Time to update. Many changes in my life. I lost my husband 1/8/18 to a sudden heart attack. It took a full year to get used to being without him. We had 45 years together. I missed him every day. The only thing that helped me was my son Scott was in the business and helped me keep it together for the last year. We had several road blocks but we managed to get past them. Scott is ready to run the business. We have hired more people to take my place and I am gradually easing out of the daily business. I oversee and we are planning to go forward with more improvements and efficiency. Scott has made it efficient for our people to do their jobs with improvements in software and technology. So I am planning more travel, keeping up with tennis and enjoying the grandkids. Its not easy to just quit I found. I have to replace the activity which I am finding is easy to do. I find I have to keep busy. Relaxing doesn't come easy to me. That good work ethic my parents gave me I guess. Look forward to coming to any events we have this summer.

Updating my life position. I have been a widow for 1-1/2. Still getting used to that title. I have been trying to fill my life with my 4 grandchildren, fixing up the house and traveling. I feel that keeping busy helps me get thru. I finally was able to retire this year from the business that Paul and I ran for 50 years. My younger son is doing a great job and has made many improvements to the efficiency. So my new job is babysitting and playing tennis. I go into work once a week to check on the grocery supply for the lunch room. Our business is small and we like to keep the atmosphere casual and friendly and a place they like to come. We have had several employees for over 20 years so we must be doing something right. I am traveling with my tennis team. Yes its the over 65 league but hey I am still out there swinging. I just went on a cruise to Canada. I even ziplined. Hey nothing can scare me now. Joined a charity in Westerville. Part of the start of finding my new purpose. Life does go on. I am so....lucky to be healthy and I figured I better do things now while I can. Went to the last breakfast meeting. Hope more people show up. It is interesting to hear other peoples stories.

School Story:

I always loved the way the school put one teacher in charge of one huge study hall in the cafeteria. What was his name--Conner??? Anyway, he was never in control. Poor guy. I really remember that Kennedys assassination was announced in that study hall. I was in 10th grade but I can still recall how I felt.
