Dan Shockley VIEW PROFILE

Dan Shockley, 62, of New London, died Saturday, May 7, 2011, at his home after a sudden illness.
He was born Dec. 9, 1948, in Arizona and graduated from Berea High School.
Dan worked as a machinist at Impact Industries of North Ridgeville and a farrier for the past thirty years.
He "loved life," the outdoors, snowmobiling and was an avid horseman. Dan was an avid hunter, archery season was his favorite time of the year and loved deer hunting. He enjoyed watching his grandson and stepson race motocross. Dan also served in the U.S. Army from 1970 to 1971 during the Vietnam War.
Survivors include his wife, Jeanne Shockley; son, Scott Shockley of Clarksfield; grandson, Wyatt Shockley of Clarksfield; stepsons, Adam Cook of Elyria and Daniel Stark of Avon Lake; daughters-in-law, Julie and Mary; granddaughter, Lucy Cook; grandson, Chase Cook; and sisters, Kathy Sak of Painesville and Patricia Rowland of Pontiac, Ill.
Dan was preceded in death by his parents, Alvin and Vivvian Shockley.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday, May 11, 2011, at Eastman Funeral Home, 200 W. Main St., New London. There will be no services.
