I left high school and lived in Europe for a year. Then it was back to Miami of Ohio before transferring to the University of Kentucky for physical therapy. After graduation I headed out to Omaha, Nebraska, just because I could. Didn't stay there long; went to UNC- Chapel Hill for a master's degree. Next I ended up in NJ first starting a corporate fitness program and eventually just going back into the clinic. I've been here ever since, mainly because I got married and my husband has no desire to live anywhere else yet and also because I wanted my kids to have a certain amount of stability, going to school with the same kids from kindergarten through HS. As anyone can see from the birthdays of my kids, I am one of those "older moms." Don't think I would have done it any other way. I'm still short, but haven't gotten any shorter or wider so that's a plus! Overall I like who I am at the moment much more than I liked myself in HS! |
