After high school, I went to Tri-C and started my college career. I finished an AA degree in Business, and was off to Kent State to complete a degree in Education and graduated in 1972. There were not any teaching jobs for me after graduation, so after taking a year off, I went back to Kent and finished a Masters degree. I accepted a position with the West Virginia Department of Education (WVDE) in 1975, which I worked for 3 years and decided to go back to school so I could work in higher education at some point. I completed a doctoral degree at West Virginia University (Go Mountaineers!), went back to work for WVDE for 5 more years and then in 1985 I went to Marshall University as a faculty member. I spent the next 16 years at Marshall as a faculty member and in administration. My last five years at Marshall was as Dean of the College of Education and Human Services. I had a great time in Huntington.

In 2002, not remembering what the weather was like in NE Ohio, I accepted a position at Kent State and found myself back in cold weather! I served as Dean of one of Kent’s seven Regional Campuses for about three years! After 12-13 years of administration (Marshall and Kent) I decided to return to the classroom. I'm having a lot of fun. I now teach Educational Psychology and Educational Technology courses for teacher education students and various computer application courses.

The class web sites have been a lot of fun and has put me in contact with so many classmates. I’ve really enjoyed it. Thanks for all your ideas and contributions!
