James Eiben

James R. Eiben, 71, of Bonneauville, PA died Saturday, November 3, 2018, at his home.

Born March 20, 1947 in Cleveland, OH, he was the son of the late Joseph and Helen (Vilagi) Eiben. He was the husband of Rebecca A. (Brown) Eiben, of Bonneauville to whom he was married to for 19 years.

Mr. Eiben was a member of St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, Littlestown. He was a Veteran of the United States Navy serving during the Vietnam War. He was a Lt. Col. in the York Composite Squadron 301 Civil Air Patrol, serving 22 years and was a Commander from August 2008 to April 2010. After his retirement Jim was a driver for Gettysburg College. He was an alumnus of The Ohio State University. He was a fan of the Washington Redskins, the Washington Nationals, and NASCAR and enjoyed model airplanes.

In addition to his wife, Becky, Jim is survived by his son Jeff Eiben and his wife Stacy, of Pensacola, FL; his daughter, Jessica McCall and her husband Casey, of Hickory, NC; his two grandsons, Austin Fleming and Kullen Westmoreland; his brother, Joe Eiben and his wife Joyce, of Essex, MD; and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held 11:00 AM, Friday, November 16, 2018 at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 665 St. Johns Rd., Littlestown, PA with Rev. Rebecca Ajer Frantz officiating. The family will greet friends at the reception following the service. Interment will be at a future time at Arlington National Cemetery.
