Jack Parsons

     Jackson Edward Parsons, 71, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, December 23rd, 2017 in his home in Sheffield Lake. He was born in France but lived most of his life in America with duel citizenship. 
He recently celebrated his 50th wedding anniversary in May of this year. He retired after working 42 years on the CSX railroad, formally known as the B & O railroad. In his free time, he was an avid NASCAR fan as well as a Formula One Indy Car racing fan. Since retiring, he never missed a breakfast at the IHOP in Avon. He had a vast collection of model cars and enjoyed working in the yard. 
      He is survived by his wife, Karen (nee Fazekas) Parsons; mother, Yvette Digangi; son, Eric (Wendy) Parsons; daughter, Karen (Tim) Stratton; 3 grandchildren: Erik, Chase, and Kaylei; great-granddaughter, Rowen; brother, Ericson Parsons and sister, Mary (Bill) Schempp. 
      He was preceded in death by his father Edgar Parson.
There will be a celebration of life luncheon for friends and family on Friday, December 29th, from 12-4 at the Sheffield Lake Community Center, 4575 Lake Rd.,Sheffield Lake. The Misencik Funeral Home, Avon, is in charge of arrangements.
