Thomas “Tom” W. Doddridge, 75, a longtime Lake County resident, died April 13, 2022 at Ohman Family Living at Holly Hill in Newbury Twp. He was born July 23, 1946 in Berea. 

Tom was an elementary principal for Mentor Public Schools and Mayfield Public Schools for 40 years. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, fishing and golfing, playing games, and joking with his grandsons. 

Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Gail; daughters, Jennifer (Andreas Holmstrom) Doddridge and Mindy Patterson; grandchildren, Sam and Jack; and his sisters, Kay (Thomas) Gennarelli, Susan Kirsch and Ellie Stark. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas W. Sr. and Anna Doddridge. 

The family will receive friends to celebrate Tom’s life from 3-8 p.m. on Tuesday, April 19, 2022 at the Brunner Sanden Deitrick Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 8466 Mentor Ave., Mentor, OH 44060. 

Private family service and inurnment will be held in Western Reserve Memorial Gardens, Chesterland.
