In Memory

Margaret . Taylor (Wise)

Margaret . Taylor (Wise)

Margaret L. Wise, 68, better known as Marge and Nana, passed away unexpectedly Thursday morning, August 7, 2014. She was blessed to spend her last evening with her kids and grandchildren.

Marge was born July 22, 1946 in Cleveland, the only daughter of the late Sheldon and Juanita (Springer) Taylor. She grew up throughout the Midwest, graduated from Berea (Ohio) High School in 1964 and enjoyed attending her 50th reunion this summer. Marge studied Social Work and Psychology at Findlay College, after which she moved to Bucyrus and began working for the Welfare office. She also worked at Heartland of Bucyrus before moving on to the District 5 Area Agency on Aging from which she retired in 2012.

Marge will be remembered as a selfless and caring servant leader who put everyone and nearly everything above herself. "Nana" found her greatest joy in anything that had to do with her grandchildren: planning vacations, faithfully attending sporting events or school programs and being on the lookout for toys or games to make the next family gathering memorable. If she asked how you were doing, Marge had a genuine interest in knowing in order to encourage, advise and support in any way she could. Animals of all types took refuge in Marge's care, especially since moving from town to the country where she could enjoy God's nature and care for His creation. Marge volunteered for the Humane Society Serving Crawford County and worshiped with Crossroads Community Church whose pastoral staff could count on Marge to pray for any request she was given.

Marge is survived by two children, David (Angie) Wise of Bucyrus and Andrea (Chris) Grile of Columbus; six grandchildren, Jillian, Michael, Jack, A.J., Emma and Jacob; two brothers, Larry (Lynda) Taylor of Gettysburg, Pa. and Ken (Rosemary) Taylor of Sidney, British Columbia, Canada; nieces, nephew, cousins, former sister-in-law, Dottie Wise, special friend, Jim Cooper, along with countless friends and beloved creatures.

Marge's family will receive friends on Sunday, August 10 from 1-3 and 5-7 p.m. at Wise Funeral Service in Bucyrus where her funeral will be held in the funeral home on Monday at 11:00 a.m. with Ron Biddle officiating and burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery.

In recognition of Marge's love for animals, contributions to the Humane Society serving Crawford County are encouraged in lieu of flowers. Also, pet food and supplies will be collected at the funeral home Sunday and Monday to be donated to the Humane Society.

Expressions of sympathy can be shared on Marge's obituary page at www.wisefuneral.com.
