She was a classmate of mine at Piper and then at Morton West. Mary Lazansky Deans O'Claire and I had been getting together with Debbie for dinner for about three years when Debbie suddenly passed away. Mary and I had had dinner with her only five days before Debbie died. It was a horrible shock, as Debbie was basically a year younger than us (for some reason, she was in our 'year' but born in 1954 rather than 1953).

Debbie's husband had passed away about seven years previously, and her two daughters were 22 and 27 when she died. Debbie worked for a very successful entrepreneur in Wheaton, and had traveled to Australia and lived in Florida for several years, helping this man set up his various businesses.

She loved Barry Manilow and had attended many of his concerts in Vegas and other places.
