EAST STONE GAP - Robert Earl "Robbie" Fox, 30, died Tuesday, May 2, 2000, in Holston Valley Hospital and Medical Center. He was a lifelong resident of East Stone Gap, a son of Betty and Jack Fox of East Stone Gap and a 1987 graduate of Powell Valley High School. He was a lab technician with Coastal Coal Co. in Coeburn and attended Durham's Chapel Church in Crackers Neck. Surviving, besides his parents, are his wife, Stacey Robbins Fox; a brother, Fred Fox of East Stone Gap; a sister, Leslie fox of Wytheville; maternal grandparents, Joe and Jewell Boggs of Wise; and a nephew. Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 2 p.m. in Holding Funeral Home Chapel in Big Stone Gap. The Revs. Walter Begley and Randy Sturgill will officiate. Burial will be in American Legion Cemetery. Among survivors are sister-in-law Jennifer Fox of East Stone Gap; nephew Jacob Fox of East Stone Gap; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. Pallbearers will be Brian Blanton, Todd Giles, Phil Lee, Chris Gilley, Shane Jessee, Donald Wagner, Steve Gardner and Donnie Sorah.
