Derrick Dewayne Blanding

BLANDING, DERRICK DEWAYNE, age 21, of Birmingham, died March 15, 2003. He was a Stocker with Buffalo Rock. He was a member of First Baptist Church Woodlawn, Birmingham. Attended Jefferson State Community College and Bessemer Technical College; served in the U. S. Navy. Funeral Services were held Saturday, March 22, 2003 at 12 Noon ~ East Birmingham COGIC with burial in Zion Memorial Gardens. Rev. Berdis Blanding officiating. He was preceded in death by father, Pierce Blanding III. Survivors: son, Derrian DeWayne Blanding; mother, Mac Lois Blanding; sisters, Katrina (Barry) White and Henrietta (Eugene) Williams of Dallas, Tex.; brother, Rodney (Daphne) Blanding; grandmother, Rosie Brundidge; a special friend, DaCetha Maye and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, uncles, and aunts.
