She is survived by her two daughters, Monica Sanders (Eugene) and Tiffany Mixon (Carceail); six brothers; four grandchildren; and a host of other family members and friends. Funeral service will be Sat., July 23, 2011 at 12:00 Noon at Galilee Baptist Church, 3753 Carver Ave S.W., Grasselli Heights, Birmingham. Burial in Elmwood Cemetery. Daneesa (Neesa) was one of eight children and only daughter of Willie Stokes and Lucy Shearer Stokes. She was one of 50 grandchildren of Martin Shearer and Iphenia Lawson Shearer. She was born in Birmingham Alabama in June 1953 and a graduate of Wenonah High School, Class of 1971.
