Mattie Cornelius Young (Carden) was born May 28, 1885 to Robert Young and Emma Brooks (Young) in Marion (Perry County) Alabama.  She died in Chicago in August 1971 and was buried in Burr Oak Cemetery in Alsip (Chicago) Illinois.
