HYMAN, Mr. James E., Jr. - Age 73, passed away Sunday, November 2, 2008. Family hour 11AM Saturday, November 8, 2008 at Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church, 502 Leith St., with funeral service commencing at 11:30AM. Interment Lovedale Memorial Cemetery, G-5175 E. Bristol Rd. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the church 11AM Saturday. Mr. Hyman now lies in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., and may be viewed from 2PM-8PM today. Mr. James Elice Hyman, Jr. was born December 29, 1934 in West Virginia to Mr. James and Mary Alice Hyman. James fondly known as "Big Jim" "Big Gool" grew up in Birmingham, Alabama. He graduated from Wenonah High School "Class of 1954" as an all-star athlete in football. James moved to Flint, MI in 1964. He was employed with Chevrolet Truck and Bus for 30 years, retiring in 1995. He leaves to cherish his memory: wife, Lillie Hyman; 2 children, Crystal (Christopher) Swinton of Atlanta, GA and Eric G. (fiancée Elisa) Hyman; 2 stepchildren, Xavier (fiancée LaToi) Brewer and Michelle Smith of Flint; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; a host of other relatives and friends.
