LEWIS J. LANIER, age 79, of Brighton, passed away Monday, January 4, 2010. He was a U.S. Marine Veteran and retired Mechanic for Boyd Brothers Transportation of Birmingham. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Palmer Lanier; daughter, Tammy Kay Lanier; sister, Willie Mae Williams; brother, Harvey Lanier (Flora); and one granddog, Bailey. Funeral service will be Saturday, January 9th at 11:00 AM at Mason Chapel United Methodist Church, Mason City with burial in Brighton Cemetery. Arrington Funeral Home, Inc. directing.  Brothers were Jedro, Class of 1952 and Harvey, Class of 1956.
