Mother was born in Bessemer and resided in Fairfield where Christian Service was rendered at nearby Jones Chapel African Methodist Episcopal Church. There, she taught Sunday School, sang in the Choir and developed the youth. She was a 1954 graduate of Wenonah High School, loved growing flowers and vegetables and caring for the sick. Preceding her in death were husband, Rev. Ernest Vaughn; parents, Vinson and Julia Henderson; siblings, Ruby Thomas, Dawson, Lewis and Vincent Henderson. Precious memories remain with children, Sharon, Ernest, John and Walter (Sharon) Vaughn. Cryptside Farewell is Noon Saturday at Highland. Rev. Monty Royster, Celebrant.
