Taylor Coleman Lewis of Marietta entered into rest on April 7, 2008 after a long illness. A retiree of the Atlanta Public School System, Mr. Lewis was a native of Birmingham, Alabama. He was a graduate of Talladega and Atlanta University. Mr. Lewis is survived by his wife, Lillie; daughter, Natalie Lewis of Atlanta, daughter, Sophia Lewis Burns and son-in-law, Stuart Burns of Houston, Texas; three granddaughters; aunt, Willie Mae Jones of Bessemer, Alabama; cousins, Mark Jones (Carolyn) and family of Decatur, Georgia, JB Coleman of Birmingham, Alabama, Ivan Lapsley of Cleveland, Ohio and Fannie Shirley of Detroit, MIchigan. A Memorial Service will be held at World Changers Church International, 2500 Burdett Road, College Park, Georgia on Monday, April 14th at 1 o'clock, with a reception to follow. The family will receive friends at the chapel 1 hour prior to the memorial service. In lieu of flowers, the family has established a scholarship fund at Talladega College in Mr. Lewis' memory.
