Curtis E. Franks--Wenonah High School class of 1956--passed away after a long illness Wednesday, October 25, 2017 at age 79. He was born in Birmingham, Alabama; was a longtime resident of the DC Metropolitan Area and a retired Inspector for the DC Fire Department. Curtis was husband to Ola (Cook) Franks of Brighton, and father of their two adult sons, Curtis Franks Jr., and Hakim Sadiq. Curtis was a lifetime member of Triumph the Church and Kingdom of God in Christ. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, November 2, 2017 at Mt. Olive Baptist Church, 1601 13th Road South, Arlington, VA 22204. Burial will follow at Cheltenham Veterans Cemetery 11301 Crain Hwy., Cheltenham, MD 20623.
