Yvette Davis (Cooper) - Class Of 1965

Oct. 1, 1947 - Nov. 20, 2016 Passed away Sunday evening, November 20, with her husband of 42 years by her side after a full and courageous life. She was 69 years old. Yvette was born and raised in Birmingham, Alabama and graduated from Wenonah High School and Clark College in Atlanta, Georgia. Yvette returned to Birmingham and worked for South Central Bell serving in many positions before being celebrated into retirement by her colleagues after 30 years. During retirement Yvette continued to devote her life to her family and Bryant Chapel AME Church where she served as an Usher and was a life long member. Yvette was loved and will be forever cherished by her many friends and family. Yvette is survived by her husband Clarence Cooper, Sr.; her sons Clarence Jr. (Erin) and Joseph (Shenita); her mother Laura Mae Davis; her nephews Desmond Wilson, Vincent Hicks, Michael Tutt and Frederick Dorsey; her nieces Kesi Washington, Shani Washington and Imani Washington; and her sister-in-laws Mary Tutt, Carolyn Kinn and Nellie Dorsey. A final tribute will take place at Bryant Chapel AME Church, 3125 Spaulding Street S.W. at 11:00 AM on Saturday, November 26th; Pastor Damien Littlejohn Officiant.
