I would like to pay tribute to our beloved Principal Mr. Leon Kennedy, It is only fitting to remember those who laboured long and hard with the students of Wenonah High School.

We  soon learned that beneath that stern exterior, beat a heart full of concern and compassion. I know that Mr Kennedy ( affectionately known to the students as (Big Skin), took pride in the accomplishments of those he help to mentor and educate.  We took satisfaction in trying to out maneuver him, and many times when the parents were called for a conference, that is when we really got a chance to see the compassionate side of our principal.  I am truly blessed to have been a part of Wenonah High School, the legacy given to us was one of care and concern.

My favorite Wenonah High School story is;  As a young boy the other guys in the neighborhood  nicknamed me Skin, supposedly because I exhibited a certain toughness physically.  After they labeled me with that nick name, then our principal became known as "Big Skin"  and I became known as " Little Skin".  I feel I can honestly say that all of my mothers children were blessed as a result of being a part of that great "Dragon Family".

It was and will always be our    Bright Star On The Hill.

R.I.P.  MR KENNEDY
