MR. JAMES CHAMBLISS, Of Fairfield passed away Tues., Jan. 4th. He was a retied lieutenant of the Birmingham Police Department, US Vietnam veteran, and a graduate of Wenonah High School. Survivors are his wife, Sarah B. Chambliss; daughters, San Chambliss-Reese, Deretia (Robert) Averhart and Aisha Chambliss; granddaughter, Semaj Reese; sisters, Carolyn (Lanny) Jackson and Shirley Wilson; brothers, Robert (Vera), Jerry, Johnny and Larry (Marilyn) Chambliss and Sharrief (Brenda) Furqan; and mother-in-law, Mary L. Bonner. Graveside service will be held on Sat., Jan. 8th at 1:00 PM at Valhalla Cemetery, 839 Wilkes Road, Midfield, AL 35228. There will be no public viewing.
