ALBERT COLLINS,  68 of Birmingham, Alabama died Saturday February 5, 2011. He was a beloved father, Father-in-law, grandfather, uncle, cousin and friend. He was known for his kindness, compassion and generosity to everyone who knew him. He was a member of the Class of 1961 at Wenonah High School and a graduate of Lawson State Community College. He was retired from U.S. Steel and served in the United States Army. Survivors include his three loving daughters Clesta C. Collins, Yolanda Collins Taylor (Lorenzo) and Tenisha Taylor and on devoted son Juan K. Collins (Jenette), two grandsons Jordan Taylor and Xavier Taylor and one granddaughter Destiny Richardson, all of Birmingham, Alabama. Public visitation is Friday February 11, 2011 from 1:00 pm - 6:00 pm at Ridout's Elmwood Chapel; service will be on Saturday February 12, 2011 at 1:00 pm in the Chapel. Elder Porter Jones, Jr. will be officiating service. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery.
