I thank God for the opportunity to pay tribute to my sister Ivory mcCain a graduate of the 1959 class of Wenonah. After graduating High School Ivory remained in Birmingham for a short time before moving to Chicago Illinois. She was employed by Spiegels where she remained until her death on february 29th, 1976, leaving four children the youngest only 8 months old and the oldest 14 years. I have very fond and loving memories of my sister as she often stood in the role of a mother to me. I was blessed to be at the bedside at the time of her passing at St. Josephs Hospital Chicago Illinois at the age of 35. The first spoke in the wheel to be broken. And though it's been many years she is still greatly missed and loved. RIP my sister.
